Hi, my name is Joel Carlo. I am a developer who has worked as a freelance artist and media designer for over 18 years. I specialize in traditional and digital media, web design, print, copywriting, sound design, and motion graphics for broadcasting.
My educational experience as a developer has been largely autodidactic, in addition to studying at both the Tampa Art Institute and Rocky Mountain College of Art and Design. My client list is varied and ranges from commissioned work for small studio projects to larger commissions for clients such as Future Publishing, ImagineFX, 2DArtist, The Ayzenberg Group, Atria, Fox Television, LiveOps, NASCAR, Dodge, Toyota, and Disney.
I am currently open to taking on commission work in any of the above mentioned fields. If you are an employer seeking to fill a part-time, full-time, or contract position, please feel free to contact me with any inquiries regarding availability.

Apart from my work as a media developer, I am also an accomplished painter and illustrator.
My work as a serious artist began in 1993 when I was hired by an independent publisher to create illustrations for comic books and children's literature. Since that time, my work has been featured in several books, magazines and small galleries.
